Project advisor
A project advisor is a career and/or content expert who serves as a consultant to the student while he/she is completing the required 20+ Senior Project hours. The project advisor may be an on-campus teacher, librarian, counselor, administrator, or a community professional. A project advisor could also be an out-of-state professional who primarily works with the student(s) through email or distance video/teleconferencing technology.
It is important to decide how regular contact will be conducted, BEFORE a student starts his/her project hours. If regular communication is problematic or a project advisor has any concerns about his/her ability to meet the position's qualifications and expectations, it is recommended that the student find another project advisor to avoid complications later.
